About Camp Leo

Camp Leo is an overnight summer camp experience for children (ages 10-17) and young adults (ages 18-26) with developmental disabilities who live in Berrien, Cass, VanBuren, St. Joseph or Kalamazoo counties.  The camp is presented by, and receives funding from, the Lions Clubs of Southwest Michigan and Wolf Financial Advisory of St. Joseph, MI, in partnership with Berrien RESA. We were excited to return to camp in 2023 after a brief hiatus due to the COVID-19 pandemic. And we are THRILLED to be adding the second camp session for young adults in August 2024.

Mission

The goal of Camp Leo is to provide campers an experience that facilitates self-discovery, an understanding and appreciation for nature, and the opportunity to learn and socialize with their peers.  While attending Camp Leo, campers will participate in activities such as archery, leather craft, canoeing, fishing, swimming, hayrides, bonfires, and the annual Lions’ Carnival Night celebration and talent show.
